About the Festival

This years GDIF was opened in front of the Cutty Sark with a show by Quidams, "FierS a Cheval". Followed by a weekend of fun in the Old Royal Naval College Gardens and in the Park the streets closed on Sunday for traffic free Greenwich & an appearance by Sir Ian McKellen to open the Love Locks Gates. The second weekend saw Dancing City at Canary Wharf and a performance Sparks (World beaters Drummers) combined with the Dundu puppet company "Sense of Unity" along Roman Road. Closing on the third weekend with performances in and around Woolwich plus in the evening "The Colour of Light" by Compagnie Off (French) running from the Arsenal to the Town Square. Durnig the whole event XTRAX introduced performances from Korea (Korea/UK 2017-18) adding a new twist to this event.
